A mate and I have a jazz-ish funk song in the works and its in need of a tight and funky bass line over the verse. The song is called "Auto-scat-ic Ro-bop-ske-bot"; it's set in the future...

I've not tried out the Godin you mentioned, but I own a 5th Ave. Kingpin and it is a fantastic instrument at a very reasonable price, perhaps the best value in it's range in terms of craftsmanship...

The "bass" in this song is actually a de-tuned fretless nylon string guitar; the way the tuning worked out (-6 1/2 steps) this song fell nicely into the key of B so it was just coincidence.

Very well done! You've obviously got a solid grasp on these changes and a nice tone besides. As mentioned above, the clipping with the rhythm guitar is distracting in this otherwise perfectly good...
