I found with my H&K and others that the sound is very brittle. The 36 would probably be alright though.

Look for the 6505 combo, they should be like $500/600ish new.

Could you fit a fernandes in a Semi Hollow like my Sheraton? I've been looking for enormous amounts of sustain for my leads and I just cant seem to get as much as I want.

I don't think that's a good Idea. You'll need like a full range speaker to do that (or a bass combo/head)

It was a Vox Double Cut i think they called them 55's or something, Had these neat pups that were like a splittable humbucker inside a p90 ( so three coils), and was set up really nicely.
