I agree with the MXR Custom Comp. I tried it at a Guitar Center not too long ago. It's very transparent and doesn't color your tone at all. Great compressor. |

I don't have a DMM at the moment. I've been needing to buy one for a while now. Is there a way I can look up the schematics and find out what the fuse it for? Could bad tubes cause overheating? |

Also not a bad idea. But Squire Teles normally cost the same amount as MIM Teles... depending on model Squire you want. Go to a local guitar shop and try them out. |

I'd look a lot at Fenders. Maybe even some vintage Gibson amps, they have a surprisingly good clean sound and when you crank it they have a nice natural overdrive. |
