Instead of a new amp you could consider a modelling amp or something like the Line 6 HD500. Then you could have a lot of pedal/amp combinations to try for a somewhat reasonable cost.

The Ultra III has some cool features, but every one I've seen in person has had nasty string buzz (not all strings, so not just a low action) and just didn't seem to have the quality of other Epi Les...

Chances are good the knobs are like the ones on an Epiphone Les Paul Prophecy I have. They were REALLY tight. I managed to get them off, but it pulled the shaft out of the pot first. But that made...

Easiest way would be to replace the stuff in there with new pots and wiring. Then you can do whatever you feel like. Not even sure you could manage it with the PCB still installed.

Sometimes. Yes. No.

Want to get a little more specific? I'm not surprised nobody answered this question in the quick questions thread.

The T+ has a thinner neck than most Gibson Studios. Soundwise the T+ and my Raw Power Studio are similar (both have 57 Classic pickups), but the RP being all maple made it a bit brighter.

I'd personally go with the Tribute+. My Tribute+ is equal in quality to the lower priced Gibson Studios I've tried IMHO, and at least equal to the two Gibsons I've got. But try to play everything,...

It could be, but the thin spot is also only for about 1/4 the width of the neck too. That picture makes it look like it's across the whole neck.

The Blue Marvels are available in 4, 8, and 16 ohm versions. If they are all 8 ohm I really don't think you can get a stereo output of 8 ohm per side with 3x8 ohm speakers.

I did some quick...

Are you sure the 2x12 has 8 ohm speakers? As far as I know, the only way to get 8 ohm load from 2 identical speakers (mono mode) would be if are 4 ohm or 16 ohm.

And you'll end up with either a 16...

I think the AF55 is slightly slimmer than the AF75. Not entirely sure though. But it does have fewer controls (single volume/tone instead of vol/tone for each pickup) and a "cheaper" finish. Might...
