Cut the voice coil out of that PA speaker for the attenuator. Damn that was a beasty speaker. 3" voice coil so with part of the cone left on for mounting purposes it's 4.5" across.

Getting there.

True, but anything that gets hot will be on an aluminium panel and I'll use stand off brackets of some type to mount the panels.
Even if run to full capacity it's only 150W dissipated over a shitload...

It's channel 2 that's the problem on the Dual Reverb. On that channel you don't just remove the diodes (its actually a bridge rectifier and a diode), you have to replace them with a resistor.
