Ahh, my bad. I meant I wasn't going to dye the wood to show the finish. Like you woudl with a maple top or something. It's gonna be a solid color. Sorry for the confusion there :cheers:

Kind of like the RGD in the picture there, actually. Solid finish with a metallic sparkle. That or a swirl. Maybe a metallic swirl.

The point is, I'm not doing anything with the actual wood itself...

There's a scale difference here to take into account as well, OP. The Schecter has 25.5" whereas the PRS has 25". If you're JUST doing classic rock though, I'd stick to the PRS. The Schecter might...
