looks a tad high. 3mm would be optimum. it's easy enough to loosen the strings, remove the saddle and sand it down in small increments. it'll probably take 4-5 times but it's better than sanding down...

the FG700S is probably the single most recommended guitar in that price range. and for good reason, it's sound and playability rival many $500 and up guitars. very little needs to be done to them...

being a Taylor fan myself, I would also choose the Yammie. nothing against the 110 but, like Ghobby stated, the Engelmann spruce has a sound all it's own.

the most recommended guitar around your price point is Yamaha's FG700S....
