As in..say the amp outputs 100 watts at 8 ohms. If the speaker is a 16 ohm speaker at 50 watts flames will ensue.

Don't buy a cheap attenuator, or try to build one, it's gotta be very precise and you don't want things catching of fire. If you wanna go that route, spend some money on one, you wont regret it.

The new one I have no idea, but the older VK112 with no mods is a perfect fuzzy amp and stoner/doom rock amp, since it's a very dark amp, and very loose. As for tubes, JJ's are what I'd recommend...

Pretty much all of us have removed it at some point or another, either heat the glue with your soldering iron(or heat gun), or keep wiggling it back and fourth while supporting the pcb with your hand...

It comes out, you just haven't pulled hard enough. It's a 2 pin plastic connector, but since the amp is upright, they glue it in so it doesn't rattle out. They just used alot of glue. :haha:

The Seagull is bounds and leaps better than the Ibanez in terms of build quality. But a larger neck can be a pain, but you'll get used to it eventually, and it does make finger picking alot easier.
