That's a lot of info. But what are you trying to say in that long post? The LP comes with a sticker on the volume knob that says "Pull for coil Tap". I'm not sure what the problem is?

Actually he asked if we were talking about coil tap. Which in this case, yes we are. And yes this LP has coil tap.

A coil tap is a wiring feature found on some electrical transformers, inductors...

I can lift either volume knob and it will switch the Humbuckers to single coil. Also then also can change that tone from the 3 position tone knob

Hope that makes more sense

Yes. The pickguard will stay on. And yes they have the 57's coil tap. And a 60's neck with granadillo fret board. I like it a lot better then the rosewood

I guess I can only hope it's either as good or better then. My local shop won't match that price so I'm SOL as far as that goes. Is it worth taking a chance? I have 30 days to return it.

I'm not a fan of rosewood fret boards. I prefer maple and liked the feel of the granadillo on the one I tried out. All of my other guitars have rosewood but my Fender.

I liked the one I played. But not the color, so I guess what I am asking, can I expect much difference from guitar to guitar.
