The type of amps that modellers don't tend emulate that well are the NMV amps. I would not buy a POD to try and get those tones. It's just not their cup of tea. I love my POD, but it's not a...

Get the HB 2X12. I play some stoner rock and they are fine in my Randall 2*12. The TH30 is a good head to use a fuzz with on the clean if it's distortion is not your thing.

I have V30s in my 2x12 and I can get a nice sound at relatively low volumes with my JCA50. It's not whisper quiet but it's what I would deem quiet enough.

I do like the Series One, but my problem is the price. It's a great Splawny type head, but a JCA is so good for so much less that I couldn't justify getting it unless I had a lot of money

The 50watt has become my main gigging amp and has surpassed the 1980 as my favorite. I put some JJs in it and it screams like a hotrodded Marshall with better low end. A $300 beast

That's strange. I have JJs in mine and I love it. It does darken the tone, but I feel it just adds a ballziness to it. I also play through V30s, so maybe that's why I don't find them muddy.
