What are you looking to get out of the tremolo? Some subtle effects or dive-bombs and the likes? Definitely get an FR-style bridge for the latter. Ibanez are great bang for the buck in my opinion and...

The Gibson Explorer, probably. I've always loved the looks of it, but it felt really weird to play sitting down and it didn't sound good compared to similarly priced Gibsons. Also let down when I...

The Mesa Dual Rectifier was the first amp I really found to be amazing for the tone I was going for - modern rock and heavy riffing. I later traded it for a Mesa Lone Star that was equally great in...

Have you thought about something like a Jaguar or a Jazzmaster? Totally different beasts, but they cover the same ground somewhat, in my opinion. Or maybe something with P90's, like an Eastwood? Or...

Deluxe Memory Boy by EHX, maybe? I loved it. Got rid of it in favor of the Flashback X4 and later the Timeline (because I needed the 15 different delay options and whatnot), but it's still one of my...

A Mesa Lone Star as suggested would be nice. Really nice cleans and a very usable drive channel as well should you need it.

I had a Mobius routed to be pre/post in front and in the loop and used the ring mod in the loop. Liked it way better that way. And I use it in post on my Kemper now as well.
