Definitely not the worst tablet in the world, and not a bad idea either, I say go for it. Just make sure you get the proper SD card to expand the memory with.

You may be using a heavier gauge, heavier strings...

You may be using a heavier gauge, heavier strings have much more tension when tuned to higher tunings such as E standard. Just a guess though.

Just got it fixed! the Wound G was the solution, thing rings out beautifully and almost rattles out of my hands with ungodly sustain, just like it should! Thanks again for the help guys!

Thanks guys for the input. @Glenn Guitar, I had a hunch that i might have had something to do with the strings being unwound. I have a Baritone with the G string wound and it doesn't have this issue...
