Nope, if you'er running windows, you just need to right click on Computer>manage> disk management. From there, you should be able to expand the drive to get the extra 50gb of space.

Pro tools 9 and up works with any interface, 8 and earlier do not. I'm not sure of the requirements on XP, but it's probably safe to say that an XP system will be very underpowered for audio...
