^this. what kind of music do you play? someone who plays rock music would most likely look into delay, wah, etc where as someone who plays pop music may be more inclined to by a chorus or flanger....

I'm not very knowledgeable of that kind of music but i've used the Eden DI pedal when recording and its phenomenal. For light distortion (if the pedal cant do it) you can always add it in Garageband...

I would save the storage space as a last rule since you can easily get an external hard drive with LOTS of space for under $100. I have a 2TB hard drive that i got for like $110
