really the 'sound of a guitar comes from the bits of wood so playing it acoustically will give you an idea of its natural sound. If it rings out and sound "full" then it is a good base to start from

it will fit, but you may have to cut away a little bit of the wood from the heel of the 22 fret neck. Line up the 21st fret of both necks and you will see if any wood needs to be removed

I'd go for raw linseed oil for a long lasting...

I'd go for raw linseed oil for a long lasting "tint" ... lemon oil works but it is more a conditioner so will lighten over time

sounds like intonation, so yes the saddles need to be adjusted. Get a good tuner and go from there. Truss rod shouldn't really have any affect on intonation, in theory it does alter fret positions...

yeah if it sounds good with your friends amp then the problem isn't the speaker its your amp, weather that is impedance or something internally with the amp....check impedance and then try your amp...

I'm picking if it has a floyd routing then its for a recessed floyd (?) which usually means the neck is really low in the neck pocket so wrap around bridge will be way to high to get the action low...

You might get away with using lacquer thinner to remove the nitro, but it will take a lot of "elbow grease". The advantage is it doesn't effect the binding like a lot of powerful paint strippers...
