I too am not overly fond of my timbre. Many vocalists I look up to, all admit to damaging their vocal cords. I sometimes wonder if that's the secret to singing better. :P

Well I'll keep playing around and see if I can do something without reverb, but if not whateves. It just sounds more black metal with the reverb, so that's why I'm drawn to it.

However, if you want something more in a metal direction check out ESP or Schecter guitars. Preferably ones that have active EMG pickups. Thats my preferance. :)
