Sx used to be nice mod-platform guitars, I dunno how they are now. If you know how to set it up it can do the trip for a while. Mind you that you will need to change the electronics at some point....

Yep, I switched back to dunlops because I realized that in some way my playing was too dependable of the jazzIII and wanted to be confortable with any pick. I also find them better for heavy picking...

I did the same thing with my phone the other day and I was playing between 50db and 60db, quite reasonable. In the rehearsal room we play loud crazy though

Did you notice those problems before the woodwork? When you scallop a fretboard the trussrod needs to be readjusted. If you haven't yet that may be causing all the fretbuff and poor sustain.

Why don't you record video and audio separately? Mic your amp/plug to pc or whatever, so you only record the sound of your guitar. Mix it with the backingtrack. Then put it together with the video...
