The only ones that fit the sockets that you shouldn't use are the ones with the notch in. These are for kettles and other higher power devices and have a thicker cable and should have a bigger fuse.

A re-amp box is simply a transformer, some resistors and a pot. In actual fact you could probably just use a pot.
