I would say it's not worth the upgrade for Superior Drummer. I've used both and find that when you cover the drums with guitars, bass, and vocals, you lose the nuances that Superior provides.

I'm surprised that you didn't like the Schecter or the BC Rich. I've heard nothing but great things about both guitars. The Ibanez is probably your best bet.

Should work. Stanley Jordan tunes in all fifths. I'd say go with a heavier set because the lower tuning will be made up in the tension. Probably a 12-54.
