Yes. You tape over the pickups/any electronics you don't want to get little bits of metal in.

I also use 0000 steel wool to polish frets, if I don't have silly high grit sandpaper lying around.

Personally I prefer ESPs - but that's down to...

I don't like Kahlers personally. The Floyd Rose design generally speaking works better than the Kahler design. Fewer friction points on the Floyd = better tuning stability. Plus, they're much easier...

Yeah, I did sell it. I wasn't gelling with it - the flat mount bridge plus the flat top meant the strings were at an angle that hurt my hand.
