The problem is that you are using lacquer. All lacquer takes a least a month to cure. That is the reason i dont use it at all.

It seems like it, but it still isnt true. Heat or temperature doenst speed up or slow down the process unless you get over 100*, then it is still just barley noticeable.

With lacquer, temperature and airflow dont really affect the way it dries. Since it has to gas off to dry, it just has to happen naturally.

you might not need to shim. Just loosen the screws and turn the neck sideways while the strings are on. This will fix the problem 99% of the time.

The pots wont make a difference, guys. The only thing 500k pots vs 25k for actvies is the taper. It is either all or nothing, no middle ground. that wont have anything to do with the low output.

There is only the 1 way, and that is to add another spring. I highly doubt you can tell the difference between 2 and 3 springs feel wise.

If you want some better locking tuners, check out the hipshot griplocks. They are great and cost like 60 bucks.

Just scuff sand it with 400 grit sandpaper until it isnt shiny anymore.
