WTB: 8" Bass amp speaker - US

Looking for an 8" 4 ohm Bass speaker for a project. Any kind will do, so if you have a busted old practice amp lying around and you wouldn't mind pulling out the speaker let me know.

Since you're new don't worry too much about upgrading your gear right away. Upgrade when you feel you need it.

Some amps to consider might be the Vox VT range or the Fender Mustang's for lighter...

Low end BC Rich's were particularly abyssmal for quite a while, however they really stepped up their quality a few years ago. Some people have failed to hop off the bandwagon in that time though.

Don't get too hung up on V30's. Sure they're kinda an industry standard but I've heard they sound much better in 412's than combos.

Should be okay so long as you're using heavy enough strings. Might have to add a spring or two and do some adjusting but I don't see why it shouldn't work.

Bear in mind the 5150 is the exact same amp as the 6505 and the 5150 II is the exact same amp as the 6505+. 5150's pop up used all the time, keep an eye out and you might be able to snag one around...
