Old amplifiers?

If an old amp is faulty, can you ever get a shock through the guitar? Its something ive always wondered as I like vintage guitars but dont know if vintage amps are actually safe. cheers.

Boss SD-1. Sounds nice on the bridge pickup and has a little edge to it with mids. On the neck pickup it has a creamy hendrixy tone if you get it right - cant go wrong with one of those.

Well the early strats had a less rich sunburst so that could explain the unusual look. However, 300 for a custom shop does seem a bit too good to be true. As said above get hold of the serial number.
