By the time you did that (if even doable) you'd might as well just buy something like a Zoom G3 and a powered speaker, which will allow you to do what you're talking about.

I'm not sure about the G1Xon or whatever but the G3X and G5 would probably be perfect for you. I'm a big fan of the old Boss ME50 too. Another option would be an Alesis Quadraverb (they're dirt cheap...

Put your dirt pedal's volume at 0. On "stand by", put your amp's master volume and gain(or whatever controls the preamp) both at 6 ( or 1 o'clock), just as a starting point. Put your guitar's volume...

I just use a dirt pedal to use my amp at low volume, and I have my amp off the floor. Low volume is low volume, regardless of what amp you use.

If it weren't for the internet, I'da never thought...

I use a distortion pedal to get high gain out of a low gain amp. The MI Audio Crunch Box works great for me, has a really heavy, tight, Marshall-y sorta tone, even with single coils.

My amp doesn't do "brootz", nothing near it. But sometimes I like to chug and shred. My amp also doesn't have built-in delay or looper, and I use those pretty heavily. Does it mean I'm not satisfied...

Its all subjective, you're just gonna have to sit down and figure out what works for you. On the DL4, turning down your "Mix" and/or "Repeats" will give you a more subtle delay. On the flipside,...

I have my G3 separate from the rest of my pedals and running into a powered speaker. Imo, that's the best way to go for using the G3's amp models. Combined with the DL4 on my pedalboard, I can make...

The Rebel will sound very good at tv volume. There's a Watts knob that's not actually an attenuater but if its dialed off it's crunchier at lower volume and if maxed its cleaner. Also, it stays...

If you're looking new, I'd take the 20w Peavey Valveking Micro head +cab (not necessarily the VK cab) over the DSL15. If used, an Egnater Rebel 20 may be perfect for you if you can find one. The...

Happy New Pedal Day! Don't sweat it, imo a looper should be your first pedal, you're gonna learn to play lead and improvise a hell of a lot faster than I did.

Anyways, you're gonna need 2 cables and...

I'd be willing to bet its not worth much. At $25 it's not exactly a steep risk. As much as I love my G3, Zoom has put out some horrifying pedals. I vaguely remember seeing one of those years ago, so...

What amp are you using? Does your amp have good sustain without the pedal plugged in? Do you have it in your fx loop? Are you using amp models on the Zoom? It may be giving you all the sustain it can.
