Help on galloping?
I need to know the right way to gallop on the strings(like in triplets and ****) I hold the pick almost straight up and down when i do it because if i hold it normal i catch string. Same with like fast powerchords(like on deathcrush by mayhem) I cant do it without holding it up and down.
What is the proper technique? |

Holding the pick should just be whatever's comfortable for you.
Then Down-Up-Down, Down-Up-Down, Down-Up-Down... |

well, you just play 3 notes, the first note slower than the last two which are played fast and at the same speed.

these guys have pretty much explained it. keep in mind in the future to not call it triplets though, because its actually 3 sixteenth notes and one sixteenth rest

tilt the pick more, if its stirght up and down you will end up just like, catching the string and letting it go instead of sliding off it, as far as patterns its up to you.
