Real Name: Zachariah Miller

Age: 21ish

Location: Kentucky, USA

Favourite Artists:
Project 86, Clutch, Chevelle, Father Son and Friends, Flogging Molly, MC Hammer, I don't know. I have almost 60,000 Mp3s on my computer (all legal)... and none of them that I don't like.

Most Inspirational Writer (Lyrically):
Spider One (album: Transform). Honestly, lately, its been mostly dead Irish and Scottish guys. Traditional Folk music from those areas has captured my ear.

Favourite poet/poem (published writer):

If you could be any writer ever, who would you be:
I wouldn't. For the most part, writers lead very ****ed up lives. I'd rather be Einstein or Bohr or Maxwell or Fermi or....

Why Do You Write:
Mostly for the hell of it. Lately, a few to help me deal with losing some close family.

Favourite word(s):

Favourite technique/style to write in:

I just write. I guess its broken prose, with a lack of any traditional styles at all (Hi Jamie!:wavey

Favourite Writer(s) on UG:
BluesyBilly, Samoo, Carmel, kdownes,we_have_sound, sometimes #1_Synth, Arthur_Curry, I'm sure there are more

Most Helpful Critic:
Jammy, Synth, kdownes, Carmel. There have been a lot more; but these have been the most help and still help me almost every piece.

What do you do especially, to find inspiration:
nothing. Sometimes I write about dreams, sometimes about random situations I make up in my head, sometimes about fat girls that bump into me in the hall way and don't apologize because they have self-esteem issues.

Your Most Recent Work and Reason Behind It:

Re-telling a nightmare. There is a part II; but I don't like it nearly as much as this part.

Tips for Newer Writers:
For the love of baby Jesus, don't start out trying to write a piece about how much you hate war. We get it; you don't like it... you also don't have enough practice under your belt to write something about a topic that HUGE and overdone that's going to make me think you don't suck ballsack. Start small. Write about things that are personal to you; like the day your pet weinerdog, "lucky," got hit by the bus that you had to get on... That's something only you can talk to me about; and will once you have that level of content, they technique will fall behind it.

What’s your goal in writing:

to create something I think it fun to read.

Final Comments or Thoughts:
Thanks. This is the second time, and it still means something. It's been great becoming a part of the community over the past year and a half (almost two years). I hope I've made it better; but I know for a fact it has made my life a better place, helped me slay some of my imagination demons, and helped me to appreciate a much broader spectrum of life.

Picture: Profile.

Congratulations, Zach!

At Flogging Molly (yeah, I haven't ever bought any of their records, but I've paid for the gigs!)

Well deserved, you had a great month writing-wise at least.
