I could give you some bands to talk to about a house show too

if you are planning on coming further south i know a couple good places in north carolina too. also can probably get some info about good places in michigan/wisconsin from a bandmate.

also, my band is booking a tour in may and we're talking about coming through Dayton (or in the general area) mid month if you would want to get something together. I've got our singer hooked on your last album.

No, no, I don't mind paying at all! I'm buying more music from bandcamp these days than of hard copies from Amazon or HMV.

That took a while to read (I'm a slow reader) but it was really intense. I mean, it could be that the film is just so good and demanding that you wrote the review in a similar manner without even trying, but from what I can tell, it was a fantastic review. If you want to impart knowledge and encourage or discourage, you've acheived it. I WANT to see that movie.

Dan, perhaps the film doesn't exist?

Free write until you're not thinking about it anymore, then totally forget about it. If the idea's important or worth writing about, it'll come back later more fully formed and in better shape to be written about. At least that's how I go about it. I often find that I can't write well unless I'm out of the thick of the action I'm writing about and not feeling the emotions at the time, but rather looking back on the feelings and ideas, slightly detached and after some time to think.

About 5-10 places have opened in the last few years (the two places that used to monopolize shows were condemned) that specialize in medium-to-small size live music. We still don't have anything besides Rupp Arena for huge concerts; but the "play for 500 people who really have never heard of your band but are up for live music and binge drinking" has really picked up around UK's campus.

I'll try and do that. But my main concern was failing really. I've been out of practice and was terrified to make something I wasn't content with (which never really happened to me). I'm in the mood to write now, so I want to try that.

Hey Randy, I sent you a pm about the 18th, but we ended up getting a show booked Saturday May 19th in Dayton at the South Park Tavern and are looking for a headliner and probably another local band to open. Would you want to take the headlining spot?

also, any ideas for a local first opener would be great as well.

I'll send you guys an e-mail about this too if I don't hear back from you here in a day or two so we can try to confirm the date and get it up on their calender.

I know some bands. I'll see what I can do. As for ourselves, I've been pulling graveyard shifts behind the bar on weekends so shows have required careful planning.

Sent you a message, but I'll send you another one with bands to contact.

Got into a ten car pile-up on the highway last night. All busted up in the hospital in a neckbrace, IV and oxygen tank. Car was crushed into a tube. So I'm writing on my laptop in excruciating pain.
