Can't keep everybody happy. The list is more about the originators than the imitators and followers anyway. It's a good idea to start introducing oneself into a genre somewhat chronologically just to know how it all came to be. To get a greater perspective on it, sort of.

Looking for some 90s death metal band that may or may not have some jazzy influences, and may or may not have an obscure instrument in the mix.

Possible brown/green cover.

I'd also add Acheronian Dirge, but their stuff is extremely difficult to find.
That should do though. Lots of stuff cause I have no idea what to give you. But if you don't want black metal then you probably wont enjoy many of these.


Cool, thanks man. Love black metal but not the style of most of these. I did however enjoy the last two, I'll check them out.

Need some epic doom metal with female vocals. Failing that, just give some epic doom with soaring vocals, nothing too obvious.
