Has anyone played Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown? I've been thinking about picking it up from the XBLA. I have VF5, but I never got too great at it since none of my friends played and II bought it after the online community near me had died. I did enjoy VF5, but if I already have that would it be worth it to pick up VF5:FS? It's also on sale for somewhere around $7.50 (600 MS points), so it wouldn't be too much to sink into a game either. I also think I could get more friends into the game now (either version of it) since there are a few kids who I now know that enjoy fighting games. What do you guys think?

Apparently being the administrator on my PC isn't enough rights to get past the DRM on the Witcher

So now I'm downloading the biggest fcking patch ever to make it work. Oblivion in the meanwhile.

I got it on PSN as one of the PS+ freebies and thought it was pretty solid. I don't know much about fighters and know even less about Virtua Fighter so my word isn't worth much, but I had a good time with it. A short time but definitely a good one.

If anything it's easy trophies/achievements. Can knock them out in an hour or 2.

What kind of DRM is it? I'm not sure how being an admin would help for any type of DRM

Like Homeless I got it free so can't complain but it's basically the only fighting game I've ever been able to get into. Great training mode for newcomers

Wow, so apparently the Street Fighter X Tekken lobby is filled to bursting with about 6 people

At least I'm not scrubbing it up super hard anymore. I actually win sometimes.

Last side mission left in borderlands is to finish round 5 of the Hyperion circle of slaughter and that insane level 50 one tannis gave me. Only level 35 so I have quite a bit to go before I attempt that tannis mission

I don't have it yet, but what do you think of it?

Played the demo and it just didn't feel good to me, but how's the full game?

Also, just finished the second episode of The Walkind Dead and man, I don't usually care much for the story in games, but the story in this has some tense, dramatic moments and geuinely tough decisions. It's pretty well done.

I've played through 3 campaigns on the 360 and I have to say it was really up and down. I did really enjoy the game, and I do think it's good, but it certainly has it's problems.

It's the kind of game that's good enough to keep you playing, but after spending some time with it you just kinda go "Phew. god damn. this game wearing me the **** out" It has a lot of great moments, but then it has a lot of "wtf are they doing" moments. Sometimes the game feels like it has a bit too much action to be a resident evil game and after getting through some sections you just can't help but think it was pretty lackluster. I know that is probably a bad description, but it's 6:16 am and I just finished playing the Jake campaign. Again, I really do enjoy the game, and am going to keep playing, but it's a bit under par for a main resident evil game IMO

That seems to be the general consensus. I'll probably still get it but I think I'll hold off til it drops in price a wee bit.

Besides, between Dishonored, Ass Creed 3 and a new Ratchet and Clank game round the corner there are bigger fish to fry.

Probably the best idea.

If you do end up getting it at some point, I can co-op the game with you if you like. Since I've already played through it, You can explore and solve puzzles (if you can even call them that) And I'll just be like a much better AI partner or something

I only bought the game on the PS3 because my friend really wanted me to play it with him. An hour into the game he decided he hated it :/

Might take you up on that offer cos I really hate the AI partners. Probably won't get it for a while yet though.

so i wake up at 7 this morning and find my brother on the computer playing Borderlands and the TV on playing early morning infomercials.

he tried playing it off like he had just woken up and turned the TV on for no reason.

then he admits he's been playing for 12 hours straight.

Hhaha I use to do that when I was younger. I get sluggish now gaming over 8+ hours.

i'm 20 and still do it from time to time.

but i'm a hypocrite and like to harass my brother when he does it.

really though, he's like a cranky child when he doesn't get enough sleep.
