GFS P90s?
So I am looking at putting new P90s in my Tele and was looking at GFS P90s, since they are significantly cheaper than Seymour Duncans. However, the low price has me wondering how they really compare. I've heard good stuff before about GFS pickups. Are they as good as Seymour Duncan or Gibson P90s?

I'm not sure how they compare to Duncan, but I recently put a Dream 90 into my mahogany bodied esquire, and it sounds excellent. I would say that Gibson's sound better, but this one sounds great. I can cover anything from old school rock to White Stripes and Green Day with ease. Good luck.

I put a Mean 90 in the neck position of a basswood HH Squier Bullet and I love it! I recommend the mean 90 in the neck position for sure. Haven't played one in the bridge.

oh yeah, and I've read some crappy reviews on the dream 90. I've played one as well and the mean 90 and the dream 90 are worlds apart. I felt the dream 90 was lacking in every department. But having said that, I'm also an aggressive punk and metal player. I do dabble in other music, mostly blues. I just couldn't get the dream 90 to work for me in any way.

I've used one of their soap bars in the bridge of a custom les paul junior I once had. I didn't mind it for what it was. It didn't impress me like a high end pickup would, but for the price, and i'm usually pretty cheap, it did it's job well in my book.

I had a pair of their regular soapbars in my tele build, and they were actually really good considering what I paid.
I didn't find them as middy and chunky as I expected, but definitely still a good budget buy |

I'm actually mounting a Mean 90 in the neck and a Dream 90 in the bridge position.
I did this intentionally knowing that in the end it may sound like crap, but when you get right down to it, if i need to I can order a replacement for one or the other and still save money over anything close. Regardless, the intention is to have a guitar that can sound like two extremely different guitars playing simultaneously.
