Which fingers to use?

For Sungha Jung's arrangement of "Someone Like You" by Adele the verse goes like this:

p = thumb, i = index, m = middle, a = ring
E|-----------------------------------------------
A|------------3-------0-------------------------
D|------0----------0---------0---2p0----0---
G|---0----0-----0---------0---0-------0------
B|------------------------------------------------
E|-3---------3----------3--------3--------------
p i m i (pa)i m a p i m i (pm) i m

I play it like that. ^

p = thumb, i = index, m = middle, a = ring
E|-----------------------------------------------
A|------------3-------0-------------------------
D|------0----------0---------0---2p0----0---
G|---0----0-----0---------0---0-------0------
B|------------------------------------------------
E|-3---------3----------3--------3--------------
p p i p (pm)p i m p p i p (pi) p i

Sungha Jung plays it like this. ^

I feel more comfortable playing it my way, but his way works too. Which fingering is more efficient?

If you have no problems playing it then that's the most efficient. There's not always a need to follow down to the last detail how the original is played, as long as you're able to play it fluidly. If it doesn't hinder you, then it's all good.

Dont get caught up in the details!

I want to know what the most efficient way to do it though. If this was to be played at an insanely high speed, which fingering would be better?

Well, the first way.

Less movement.
