I would imagine she just couldn't think of a good excuse why she didn't want Seref to walk her to her car. The fact that she let some other guy do it later on seems fishy.

OT:
I once wrote a note to a girl asking her to prom, walked into her class, implied the note was from the office, and walked out. (I thought she was a nice girl and was fun and all. I didn't really have a crush on her or anything.)

After class, I saw her and her friends freaking and running to the bathroom. Turns out she already had a date. She told me that she thought my note was sweet and all. So, I just said something to the effect of, "That's cool" and asked another girl.


I didn't go the Prom the year after that...

I saw All American Rejects and Boys Like Girls a few months ago with the ladyfriend and her sister, and I'm not ashamed to admit that Boys Like Girls put on a pretty darn good show. AAR on the other hand kind of sucked, their singer got pretty high and came off pretty rude.

Last weekend I was drunk with a couple of friends and we went to this fried chicken place at like 1 in the morning to pick up a ladyfriend. As my two friends go to order some drunk food, I stand by our other friend's booth in the aisle and some girl is walking past (I think she might have been leaving). Out of nowhere I told her she had pretty red hair (that dyed auburn kind of thing that some girls can really pull off) and we got to talking. Somehow I (probably very douchily) brought up that I'm a singer/bassist rockstar and she got really excited. She asked me what music I play and I sang the first line of the chorus of I Slept With Someone In Fall Out Boy. To my surprise she actually finished it and then I got her number and told her we should do shrooms. I think we were both too drunk to actually feel embarrassed but looking back on it now, I cringe a bit.
