I was going to recommend Elder and Ancestors, and palm mute beat me to it. For Elder, I highly recommend the Spires Burn/Release EP, and for Ancestors also check out Of Sound Mind and Neptune With Fire, their first two albums.

Related question if you guys don't mind... I like most Gorguts songs but I just cannot get that into them. I have no idea why but I think its just the way their music sounds. DAE feel this way? I seriously think its weird that I can't get into Gorguts lol.

Early Gorguts or later Gorguts?

Not being able to get into an album like Obscura is kind of normal, it isn't exactly accessible by any stretch of the imagination.

Try From Wisdom to Hate, it has a little of the oddity of Obscura but not so much that you are bogged down by it.
