Bla-bla-bla Where should I "feel" it when I sing?

I'm just wondering if I'm directing my air properly. Normally when I sing, I can feel it in the back of my mouth at the soft part on the top, like the roof of the mouth but behind it more towards the uvula.

Also, if I place my hand on my neck, I can feel that vibrate too.

Is that bad? or is it normal?

I would get a teacher, but I can't afford it. So I just sing with my guitar to figure out the notes. I've gotten much better at breath control and getting notes without the guitar, I'm still not comfortable with how my voice sounds. I can sing along to record tracks but freeze up if I try with just my guitar.

Thanks
