Björk

I love Björk . Yes, she's very very weird, but musically, she is an amazing artist. My favorite album of hers is Vespertine.

Anyone here like like her?

I love her, except for the new album, which is mediocre. But Post, Homogenic and Medulla are all great records.

I like some of her songs, but I haven't been able to really get into it. I can understand why it just doesn't appeal to some people, and others absolutely love Bjork. I was dissapointed by Volta, too.

Some stuff of hers amazed me, but others just make me wonder who'd listen to it. I'm not going near her new album, from the couple of tracks I've heard from it it's not for me.

That's when you know you found somebody special. When you can just shut the f*ck up for a minute, and comfortably share silence.

I have Debut and Post by her. I borrowed them from my friend and I really do like them. I think she's brilliant.

How the hell do you pronounce Bjork?

I discovered her through Radiohead, and still don't know much about her music. Can someone recommend me some songs or an album to start with?

i like to say it buh-jork just to annoy people that are huge bjork fans.

Volta was quite a let down for me, anyone else feel similar?

After Zeitgeist, it was the biggest let-down of the year, in my opinion. But she's Bjork, so I'm sure she'll bounce back.

Actually, it's more like... Byirk. The 'ö' represents an 'uh' sounding vocal. We have that in the Swedish language as well, and I'm pretty sure it represents the same sound in Icelandic, seeing as both languages hail from the same family of languages.

But yeah, on topic, I haven't really heard her.

Wow. This is the first time I've seen you on here in ages? How are you?

Anyway, back on topic, really? I've been pronouncing it wrong all this time...

I'm very very good, thank you. And yourself?

From an international perspective you haven't. From a "correct" perspective, yes. Silly Americans. Can't even figure out the right pronounciation for odd, non-english words.

Edit: Please do use the right pronounciation, though. The other one kind of annoys me.
