I've always interpreted the lyrics as following his responses to what others say in an effort to stop being made fun of, and then what people said when he changed his style/attitude.

Also, who said that nerdy kids can't be arrogant assholes? Some girl in my AP Literature class reviles in telling people they're wrong, and has cats and watches Star Trek to a religious degree. She wants to go to a "dumb college" so she can be the smartest person there. She's an arrogant asshole.

i mean like if he's the one getting called a loser all the time, he wouldn't be getting called "arrogant asshole" by the kool kids--only by other losers who aren't as smart as him.

like i said, you can try to rationalize the lyrics however you want but once you put yr pro-descendents bias aside, it's pretty obvious it's just casual hompphobia.

you guys do realize that not only has milo apologized for the lyrics, but when they played it live in more recent years he changed the homophobic parts? clearly the reason "you fucking gay" was included in the recording is because young milo thought that was a dece insult and now he feels guilty.

the lyrics are homophobic and if you deny that despite all the evidence then yr really a goofball.
