Mel Bay Theory Books

Are the Mel bay theory books worth going through all the way. So far im on book two and i wonder if i should keep going onto seven. Will these books be of any use for someone who wants to eventually learn blues/rock guitar

Nothing you learn will take away from anything you knew before it, as long as you actually understand what came before. I say learn as much as you possibly can, it will never do anything but help

My piano teacher many years ago used those same books to teach me theory. They are very helpful IMO.
