Song ideas for Rockschool Grade 8 and above
Hi all
I've been asked by someone for some songs that are the equivalent of a Rockschool Grade 8 or above. I've no idea and so wondered if you helpful folk could suggest any? Cheers Max |

That's kinda bullshit because you can play any of the songs at any of the grades.
It just isn't how it works. Even the most complex, hardest song is super simple when it only gives you a fraction of the notes (less "mastery")--which is what happens automatically if you f-up enough on any of the songs at any level. When you start repeating the songs "live" then you need a higher score, and that will require you to achieve more "mastery", 'cause you just can't get 90,000 points with a song at 30% mastery. By the time you get to grade 8, you've probably played all the songs at least once, and are just starting to need 90,000 points for some of them. Last edited by jetwash69 : 01-31-2013 at 11:38 PM. |

Hahaha - made me laugh to.
I should have added in the OP.... The student in question is not looking to take up any grades. But as a requirement for a course he needs to be Grade 8 or equivalent. So I thought it would be helpful to know what kind of songs would be considered Grade 8. And with that in mind, Grade 8 RGT songs would be equally helpful. His genres of interest are Metal, Thrash, Death, etc. Cheers |

I've started to look through the thread but it seems very very general rather than specific like my question.... |
