Dude on Facebook is selling custom acoustic panels for $20 for 3x12x48" panels and $30 for 3x24x48" panels, other sizes available and you can do whatever colors you want. I'm not 100% sure on the materials he's using or how much shipping is... but this is cheaper than you could build them yourself:

Here's the post, not sure if you have to be a member of the Chango group to see it, though:

Then go home - 9 strings are the thing now brah.

Though more seriously, what does that have that every stock guitar doesn't?

Also why a 7 string when you could have gotten yourself a guitar with more strings?

I really don't understand the point of 7 string guitars.
They seem undecided guitars to me.

They aren't classic 6's, though they don't go as low as 8's, and they aren't even particularly easier to play than 8's imo...

What if you don't want a low F# string? If 7 strings is enough for your needs, why play an 8 or 10 or whatever? ( )

1. Well, it's about the same price as a "stock" guitar, and it has EVO Gold frets, a AAAA flame top on the body and headstock, plus a birdseye maple board, swamp ash body and a walnut neck and it'll be the first of its kind, as far as finish is concerned... but I'd rather not reveal that until it get it, because it's going to be stunning. Plus, it'll have a flatter neck profile than any other guitar they currently offer, and they're guaranteeing an insanely low build time.

2. I honestly don't understand the point of anything larger than a 7. I hate 8 strings and can't imagine playing a 9 or 10, that just seems ridiculous. If I wanted to go that low, I'd just play a bass I like 7s because it gives me standard tuning on the first 6 strings and then i can drop to an A on the top string, without having to use a big baritone 6 or super heavy strings. Plus, the necks on 8s are monstrous to the point where I don't find them remotely enjoyable to play.

And I got a 7 because I already have a custom 6 string, plus an ESP I love. I'm just using a cheap Agile as my 7 right now, and while it's a cool guitar, I feel like I'm actually really going to want to play this one, as apposed to just grabbing for a 6 all the time.

It's probably just my mind's limitedness that doesn't let me conceive how one would want to only go as low as a 7 string goes if he wants to go lower than a relatively low tuned 6 string.

I mean, as I see it, if you wanna go low then you might as well go low, not halfway to low.

As far as the lowness goes, come on, a bass is a totally different beast, and an 8 strings tuned a step lower will not sound like a bass in any case.
p/ups, strings, and mostly playing styles differ a lot.

But I like djent and I wanna get either a TAM10 or an M80M, so I'm guessing my opinion not only doesn't count but also isn't welcome here

I dunno, my 5 string bass can sound remarkably close to an 8 string guitar, when distorted

8 string guitars just go too low IMO. There are VERY few amps out there that can handle that kind of low end and still stay remotely tight and clear. I like my guitar to remain in the mid frequencies and 8, 9s and 10s are just too much, unless you're utilizing most of the fretboard and adding high strings, as well as low, which most players aren't.

I guess I just don't understand the point of having another low E or F#. I like 7s because I have the convenience of standard tuning on a 6, plus a dropped string for the chugs.

Yeah, this is key for me. I see guitar as the instrument that fills up the most space, as it is. Why does it need to hog more low end? My main guitar (which is a 6-string, but I'd do a similar setup on a 7-string) already has pickups that emphasize lows and mids. So, I don't need lows beyond low A or maybe low G.

Exactly.

Guitars already fight with the bass guitar and bass drum enough. I dunno why you'd want to make it even more muddied up down there

Personally, I hate most records that are recorded lower than Drop A, because they're so low and low-mid oriented that they sound super hollow in the bulk of the spectrum.
