Reliability of Ibanez DE7

Hello everybody,
I own a Ibanez DE7 digital delay and, as I see reading the forums, it's a pretty common choice on UG too.
I've been happy with its sound, considering its damn low price, but the thing seems to falling down to pieces every 5-6 months
The first time it was due to low quality soldering and I fixed it simply redoing them, but now it's dead again, and this time due to some broken electric component.
Has anybody had similar reliability issues?

I'm not able to fix it on my own and a tech would take me 40-50€ for the fix, as mush as the cost of a new one.. What should I do? Stick to it or just buy for a upper level delay?

Also, I love the double meaning of your user name. Hilarious

I think repairing it for the cost of almost a new one would be a bad investment.

And it's really simple. A cheap pedal doesn't have a great durability. Pay more if you want more.
But even for Behringer 5 - 6 months is really short. The only brand that's really cheap and has great durability is EHX if you ask me. LPB-1 is around 30 bucks and pretty well build

Take a look at the Memory Boy / Toy or #1 Echo

I don't know what is broken, but all the soldering are solid and the connectors are fine, so my guess is that some part has failed.
Whenever I hit the pedal the led lights up for a moment then dies out and there's no output, it's totally muted.. It will take some time to single check the whole circuitry, this little bitch is divided into 4-5 different pcbs :E

Thank you guys btw, I'll look into a better stompbox

A friend of mine who is a delay junky like me has said that the EHX Memory Toy and MXR Carbon Copy cover similar (but not identical) ground.

:? Is EHX considered a entry-level brand? I always thought it was quite good :O
