All frets are not the same. Some ware out
quickly and others seem to last for ever. Round wound strings weren't available in the early days of electric bass. All the songs of that era were played with flats. Half the folks who like round wound strings try to make them sound like flats without even knowing it. It can depend on the bass. It can also depend on taste. Have you ever played a Peavey Patriot and thought it sounded too bright? You should play one of them suckers with ROTO 77 Flats. You will fall in love. I almost 100% guarantee it, Tabdog |
