Please critique my song

Hi all, would really appreciate it if you could critique my recording/song. Spent a lot of time and effort on this so would be great if i could get some feedback.

Fixed it for you :P

Ok, I'm really not a fan of this kind of heavily accented indie stuff, but here's my thoughts....

Bassy, muddy, overhyped, phasey, overcompressed mix. Sounds like Drumagog on the snare too - makes the rolls sound unrealistic.
Sounds like there's some appalling pitch correction (autotune) on the vocals. Could be the youtube compression though, perhaps.

Definitely potential there though - the recording sounds like great quality, just over-mixed.

The song itself is nicely written and well performed, but if this was my band I reckon I'd be asking the producer for a refund. Just had a listen to your EP on Bandcamp and that sounds much nicer.

Thanks a lot mate, really dont know how get them to embed like that haha.

Really appreciate the feedback to mate. The accents are our own, not fake so im afraid they cant change haha. All the recordings were done in the same place, so not sure how different they sound on band camp and youtube. Hopefully they dont all sound too bad lol.

Thanks again, much appreciated and will taken into account

No problem at all Si.

I'm offering free production at the moment to build up a good portfolio - if you want to send a track over you're very welcome, it's nice to have good quality bands.

By the way, UG handles all the embedding automatically - just paste the link to the video and it does it for you

I'm the producer for a little indie record label but I'm trying to expand my business a bit, need some good bands in my back catalogue! However, I couldn't find any good bands, so you'll have to do

If you've access to your multitracks, I'd be happy to do a mix for you.

sidge,
Good to hear an English accent (instead of a Brit doing an American accent), I like the vocals. I have used Antares and Melodyne, and I don't detect pitch correction (or it's not obvious). This reminds me a bit of Psychedelic Furs (a compliment). Nice sounding guitar & song! Perhaps you could review my music at this link (I've been played by the radio BBC):
