It's that time of year where I realise most of my skinny jeans have holes in the crotch

I'm never sure which of the main UK high street shops do the best cheap/mid tier jeans. I moved to H&M for a while but I think their jeans are all tight on the crotch. Not even stepped in Topman for years.

I did buy some nice skinny jeans from river island recently, they kind of look like work trouser with button flys and small back pockets....I kinda dig that.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this opinion.

Although I do firmly believe all clothing has the ability to look good depending on the wearer.....well most clothing.

But the main people I see wearing peacoats are either nerds who like Doctor who a bit too much or people who like to think they dress well.

I've got a serious case of crotch blowout on all my navy jeans atm except 1 pair of Levi's, and they fit weird when I'm wearing trainers so I only pair them with DM's or Desert Boots - and tbh there isn't enough contrast with the cuff for my DM's so I hardly ever wear them together. The DM's go with my black jeans though, but not the desert boots, but the desert boot can be pulled off with the grey jean, and of course both go with the white jean, but I only wear them when I want to be the most mod person in the room.

My life is so hard

Happened to me on Thursday luckily I found an identical pair on the Topman sale and there was 1 pair left so I guess it was fate. Topman do do the best jeans even if most of their other clothes are average.

Nah I love my peacoat so much. First proper coat I've ever got Since I've been wearing leather jackets for the fast few years. It's so nice and comfy and and has a load of pockets and I think it looks nice but I think I wear it with nice clothes so meh.

Life is hard. I'll have to look in Topman again to see what the jean situation is.

I also was thinking of just moving on from skinny jeans, but most other styles don't look good on me.

Well whatever clothes make you feel good/sexy is what you should wear

Moving on from skinny jeans to what? I don't feel like I look good in anything other than skinny jeans to be honest, mainly cos my legs are so skinny.

Peacoats are just nice especially when you're wearing a suit. Parkas just don't look formal enough to go with a suit really. I can see why people you think you look like a Doctor Who wannabe though

I know this was a while back but if you've got the budget go for Russell and Bromley or try Grenson.

They're pricier but it's worth spending that bit extra on shoes

I agree with peacoats, they look decent, especially if they're the right fit. Can see the Dr Who thing too aha. Been thinking of getting one but I need a job if I'm going to buy nicer clothes

Wear jeans that suit your frame. Skinny jeans are for skinny people.

Don't rate topman jeans, anything I buy from topman seems to be shit quality.

Burton Jeans however, then we're talking
Or H&M, but you already said you disliked them haha

Topman jeans are terrible, pretty much the worst on the high street. Cheap Monday jeans are the best cheap skinny jean. If you look around you can pick them up between £20 - 30 a pair.

Allsaints print cigarette jeans are even better but pretty expensive unless you wait for the sales.

And on the talk of peacoats mines is cropped so it looks great with skinny jeans. Normal peacoats look pretty weird with skinny jeans but some can pull them off. Might pick up an Asos overcoat when they inevitably go down in the sales. Also will be picking up my first pair of DMs in the next couple of weeks, can't wait.

^ I've only seen cheap mondays at urban outfitters and similar places...but for a lot more than that. I don't really shop at UO though, I shall look around!

Not shopped at Burton for a while, last time I was in there I didn't quite like the shape or style of most jeans I tried, even skinny jeans seemed a little baggy.

I just want good crotch space with spandex tight legs, is this too much too ask? Is it?

Might just start wearing trackies all the time.

These look modest and tasteful enough for me.

Topman jeans are the best. They're the only shop that does jeans tight enough to look fitted on my legs. Everything else in the high street hangs off me like I have just survived an African famine.

I have some real tight jeans from H&M....but as I said they're kinda tight on the crotch and harder to put on. I don't like that in jeans, just a pain in the arse.

Might just start wearing Tesco chinos with my new balance shoes.... nah.

Not the most traditional looking shoe/boot, but I really like them.

Not for me tbh. But my choice of boots were criticized in here so I'm scared to divulge any further

They'd look better without the weird sole and the unnecessary stitching
