It would be nice to have JUST Who on Who Day. Ah well, most of this series was good, I suppose we have to have the odd "Forest of the Night" - but I AM still hoping the wonderful Mr Capaldi will make it watchable.

Capaldi saved the season due to mediocre scripting and a lot of storys that set up some solid idea's (Listen being my example) but ended up being a mediocre story as a whole.

Really wish we had more Deep Breath's and Into The Daleks, but that was just me

You're not wrong - but for me there were a good few more decent stories in this series. "Mummy on the Orient Express", "Flatline" and "Dark Water" stand out for me but yes, Capaldi is the jewel in the crown. Long may he reside in that blue box. It takes talent to make shining moments from not-so-wonderful scripts like "Forest of the Night" and "Robot of Sherwood".

I haven't seen Mummy or Flatline yet, but Dark Water was outstanding, only to be spoiled by the next one!

I liked Robot of Sherwood for what it was, also Ben Miller

Looking back, I'd have to say that Flatline, Mummy On the Orient Express, Dark Water and the first 90% of Listen are the crown jewels of the season, and Capaldi was definitely worthy to wear it. Deep Breath, Into the Dalek and Kill the Moon ended up being pretty meh upon reflection, and everything else was forgettable.

Is it just me but does Ben Miller in a beard have a startling look of Roger Delgado about him?

Before the Big Reveal at the end of the series, I was sure he'd be next to play the Master!

Do you guys think we'll get any of the old companions back for an episode or two, sort of like Sarah Jane Smith during Tennant's run?

By old I mean from the original run of the show. Not the newer companions.

It's been confirmed that Capaldi is signed on for series 9 and 10. That's great news. Now just improve the writing!

I actually like it a lot. Her and John Cho have some really good chemistry, and the show actually does a decent job of showing how ridiculous some of our social media culture really is.

I know. I'm bummed it's been canceled.

I think the dumb name hurt it. I guarantee just the title was enough to keep some people from watching it.

No, I remember reading the synopsis, seeing the promo pictures with her making a duckface pose, and immediately thinking "Well, I'd rather eat broken glass than watch that." I've now seen her in 2 or 3 things outside of Doctor Who and my suspicions that she's a one note actor are pretty much confirmed.

She was pretty good in Guardians Of The Galaxy. Well, in the little we saw of her.

Yeah she was decent in GOTG playing a role that was nothing like she was as Amy Pond.

To be fair though, she mainly did a lot of pouting with some fight scenes.

Yeah, she just did her best Emilia Clarke impersation while wearing some make up, woo, such dynamic acting.

I have nothing against her personally, she seems really funny and cool as a person, but every role she takes seems to try and emphasise her as kind of a bitch, and it's just boring. Amy gained some nice "weight" to her character by the end of the run, but series 5 and most of series 6 Amy annoy the shit out of me.
