Hard to go wrong when you're a culmination of Joy Division song names. Really liking the booming robotic voice the singer has on Secret Superstitions, I'm a sucker for that monotone singing though. Those icy synth sounds are spine chilling. This song isn't going to leave my head for a while.

You know one thing I appreciate most about whatever-wave bands is that the drums are simply hypnotic.

Funny that, I started digging into Dark Wave recently (Cure, Joy Division, Depeche Mode, mid era Killing Joke)

Oh it's a wonderful genre, or rather, wave-bands are. I don't really know what darkwave/coldwave have in terms of differences in all honesty, but I'm sure there are subtleties between them.

Emenius recently linked me this:

Which I've been fawning over Seychas for the past few days. I guess it's coldwave. Darkwave seems to be stuff that falls into post-punk music, but so does coldwave. Honestly the entire thing just seems to classify them by movements anyways, like NWOBHM or DSBM. Dark wave is to post-punk, what DSBM is to black metal (just from what I've read).

I just refer to them all as wave anyways. Wave is such a rush.
