Yup heres a little walk around. I need proper mounts for the pipes I rigged some up to take it for a spin before it got cold, and boy did it (dropped 40 degrees in a day)

Did I also mention that I'm currently attempting to put a KDX400 motor into a KE100 frame? lots of cutting and welding to be done.

sound good man. A friend of mine had a 750 triple (Kawasaki H2). It had a beast of an engine and a chassis like a wet noodle. Death on two wheels, lol.

Dude that thing sounds nasty. Good nasty.

I Finally cleaned out my shop space (garage) today. What a relief, i can finally get some work done.

And here is my latest acquisition. A 1980 GS850 cafe bike. I'm going to part it out and use the seat, tank, fender, and whatever else I find useful, on my bike.

Thanks guys.

Potcorn, the valves are burned and it would take around 500 bucks for new valves or to redo the old ones. I could maybe look for a used engine or valves on craigslist or ebay, but even then with all the other things that need to be done on the bike I would need to spend more money than I really have.

But don't worry. With those cafe parts, my 750 is going to be stylin' fairly soon.

Bought a 1989 Honda Elite 80 last Thursday. This picture makes it look waaaay better than it actually looks in real life. That's my dad's Harley in the background, by the way.

Spent a few hours today removing every white part, because I'm gonna paint it. I didn't realize a scooter could even have so many body panels. Actually kinda looks better now than it did before. Maybe I should leave it like this.

Sorry for the double post bust I just have some exciting info to share. That orange cafe racer that I posted a while back... it's actually not a parts bike.

A couple of friends and I are going to rebuild it from the ground up. Complete tear-down and whatnot. Pics will be had.

Keeping this thread alive!!!!!

So for the summer months, at least, I am going 2 wheels only. Sold my car and bout this guy...

This is the bike I always wanted. Small and nimble, with the coolest looking exhaust. It checks everything off of my list. Reliable, economical, classy, kick start, able to make it on the highway, easily modifiable, parts easily available, ... I could go on.

Yes, my GS750 is the bike I never knew I always wanted. It is a very different beast. Big and bulky (compared to the CL), but smooth at high speeds and very torquey. I've ridden it more than any other bike, and it has grown on me in the most positive way. I did my first big trip last weekend, going to see my parents for Easter. I put over 500 miles on her in less than a week, and she took it quite well. Here's a pic of her before we left.

So now I have a lot of things on my plate. Still need to clean the carbs and sync them, go over the brakes and put in steel braided lines, and redo the electronics on the GS. Then I need to go over the CL's brakes, and get her in good condition, electronically. After allllll of that... then I can finally get to the good stuff. My GS will sit pretty just the way she is... for now. I have big plans for the Cl. I'm thinking minimalist, cafe, and sporty. Then for the GS850, I will try to just get running. then I will decide on what to do with it.
