Gary Clark Jr Thread!
I couldn't find a thread for this guy so i've decided to start one.
Has anyone had a chance to catch him live? I enjoyed his record but he just takes it to a whole new level live! One of the best Guitarists I've actually seen... |

Saw him 9 days ago at the Sydney Big Day Out, he was incredible.

I'll have to check him out whenever he's in Michigan. I liked his album though. Good stuff.

I saw him at the troubadour in hollywood. He played for like 2 and a half hours and it was one of the best concerts i've ever been to. The album is really good, but it's a whole different world seeing him jam out on his songs for 15+ minutes.
One of the few artists around today that actually deserve and live up to the critical hype.

This guy is an amazing talent. Definitely a new face for blues. I would love to see him live. I am really enjoying his album right now.

Oh my. Finally heard the album in full. You Saved Me is an excellent, excellent track! A very nice blend of his soulful and Neil-Young-droning sides.

He was just on Austin City Limits (with the Alabama Shakes) this Past weekend. I am definitelty digging on the groove here. Especially the fuzzed out goodness on When My Train Pulls In. LOVE IT!!

Bumpty dumpty.
I was flipping through channels a couple of days ago and stumbled upon the AXS channel. They were playing the music video to Aint Messin Around. After hearing that, I had to buy Blak and Blu. Holy shit. Best blues album and guitarist I have heard since Kenny Wayne Shepherd and his Trouble Is... album. Gary Clark Jr has officially gotten me back into the blues. I hope I can catch him in concert soon... |
