Portsmouth career has begun, zero transfer budget.

Signed a bunch of frees who looked alright. Need a bit of a cup run to renew some contracts though, 5k a week remaining wage budget to begin with was pretty hard . Won my first league game 3-0 though, so we're looking good .

Pretty big overhaul for FM15, in particular the UI has changed.

I'll post the video when it goes online.

EDIT:
Game is out November 7th.

EDIT2:

I never use the 3D engine anyway so that will never bother me.

24 off GMG with this code VBHGBM-JS2VN9-0J5OFM

I never understood why fm games focused on improvements to the 3d graphics, and little things like stadium details. Its not like its a football simulator like Fifa.

Will probably use that code, ta Cadj.

Certainly looks different. Looking forward to playing it now! Interviews are really boring and repetitive though, adding more is annoying. Having to be more careful over your man management is going to be tricky too, I don't think I'll be able to get away with sneakily offering players around, or transfer listing them without telling them .

11 minutes into that video and I like pretty much everything. Especially the UI, the manager stat thing and the Tim Sherwood "show some passion lads" in-game team talks.

Match engine looks a bit wank but I no longer use it anyway

edit: pre-ordered because i am drowning in yolo

i started a game as bury a few days ago. was doing quite well, got beaten 5-1 in the first game of the capital one cup by sheffield united but i was joint top of the league with 10 points after 4 games. i'm starting again though, i went like 2k over my 25k wage budget and i think it will screw me.

bury have some good players, they're fairly solid everywhere except they're pretty much without fullbacks, and they have no finances. i'm going 4-3-3 (1DM and 2 CMs) and trying to play attacking football with retain possession/shorter passing/work ball into box/hassle opponents as my main instructions, my midfielders all have 10-12 passing and are solid defensively so it should work quite well. this is my first time managing in a league this low though so i don't know if the players will be capable enough.
