Fader Knob?

This has probably been done, but if it hasn't I think it has some possibilities...

Is there a way to run a fader know that balances the input from two pickups?

Basically, run two humbuckers, p-90's, whatever, and have a knob so if it's in the middle you have equal amounts of both in the output. All the way left, the neck pick up only, all the way right, the bridge pickup. Anywhere else, it would fade vary.

That would be a nice feature. It doesn't seem like it'd be too hard to do, either.*

Remove V1 & V6. Put the 12AX7 from V1 into V6 and leave V1 empty. Try the vibrato channel.

Yeah, I didn't figure it would be as simple as it sounds.

It's called a blend pot, and it's pretty easy to wire.

i think THIS is the same thing, since its basically just a linear dual gang pot. It is a smooth shaft though, plus i could be wrong and that this functions differently, but in theory it should just fade in between the two sources with the neutral position being the 50/50 blend

^that one from smallbear works, but it doesn't have the detent at the mid point.. so you'll just have to guess or listen for the 50/50 point.

Actually, I can see that being a bennefit ecause then you would adjust for sound without worrying about tactile feedback. You may think the blend you want is 50/50, but what if it's really 60/40?

true..the only blend pot I've had on a guitar was one without a detent actually (like the smallbear one), so you may actually prefer it. I just meant that's its not the exact same thing, incase thats what you were hoping for

If you have a knob with numbers on it, then that may be best. Otherwise it might be a pain.
