Reducing string buzz?

I recently got EMGs, and now I noticed when I play, the last string I played a lick on still vibrates after I take my finger off of it, but not Like when I do a hammer on, it just keeps vibrating very slightly. When I play fast and on a bunch of notes in solos, the distortion adds up and sounds terrible. How can I fix this? I don't wanna use scrunchies or hair ties. Is there some technique I can keep it from happening?

How long have you been playing guitar?
Could just be possible you're not used to playing with a lot of distortion and therefore haven't developed an appropriate muting technique

I've been playing about a year, but I've just started using distortion and emg pickups a few months ago, so I haven done much muting.

Whilst distortion can be good for hiding mistakes, it's also bad at hiding mistakes to a trained ear, especially when soloing etc, so muting is extremely extremely important when playing heavy metal or any other genre with heavy distortion.
I consider my muting quite good and yet for some reason i can't explain or give much advice on how to properly mute for some reason haha.
It's not a very common question on this forum really. Not that I've seen anyways. Not like every second thread about playing fast.

So i'll make it easy on myself and just link you to a Youtube video from Freepower..

It's most likely just a muting issue. Work on palm muting and left hand muting.
